Willis Haviland Carrier
Willis Haviland Carrier invented air conditioning in 1902 to address a humidity problem for a printing company. The Buffalo publishing company, Sackett-Wilhelms, was a client of the company where Willis worked. After obtaining his degree from Cornell University, Willis obtained employment with the Buffalo Forge Company in New York. The Sackett-Wilhelms publishing plant enlisted the services of the Buffalo Forge Company to find a solution for a persistent problem.
Maintaining proper temperature and humidity in a data center is a critical task for any organisation. Almost all servers are designed to operate within specific temperature and humidity ranges; If these are not properly maintained, the equipment will be damaged and the operation will stop. This may cause a heavy loss in business.
In a data center, ambient relative humidity between 45% and 55% and air temperature between 18 °C to 25 °C should be maintained. SatDC’s design principal calculates the heat load required for your data centre and provides an accurate cooling machine with N+1 or N+N redundancy.
