Partnered with Aster Medcity to design and construct their Data centre
The 670-bed Aster Medcity is situated on a forty-acre campus closest to Ernakulam in God’s own country called Kerala, the southern state of India. When Aster Group planned to start a hospital in Kerala with state-of-the-art systems, they wanted an international standard server room to run their computer servers 24 hours a day.
Overview
Aster wanted an experienced company with expertise and experience to build their Data Center They doubted whether there would be a company capable enough to build it in a small state like Kerala. It was while searching for such companies that they came to know about “SAT DC”. They were looking for us as the company that built the data center at Kochi International Airport.
The SatDc Data Center design team got an opportunity to present our solutions, and we took them to our existing Data Center client. The team members of Aster were very happy with our past installations and decided to entrust us with their project.

What we did.
The room-based redundant cooling systems ensure adequate cooling inside the Data Center. We calculated the required CFM based on the IT load of each rack and provided cooling machines accordingly.
Since the entire property runs on chiller cooling, we provided the cooling machines with a dehumidifier and humidifier to maintain relative humidity inside the server room.
Since the hospital required its server to be operational for 24 hours, the servers were powered with redundant powers source. This ensures there is no downtime required in case of UPS maintenance.
